第6回も「Discovery Gospel(福音を発見する)」で聖書を学びました。

遅くなりましたがあけましておめでとうございます。

今年もいろいろな機会を通してゴスペルを発見していく一年にしたいと思います。

今回の聖書箇所：　マタイ5:38-43

モーセの法律では、『人の目をえぐり出した者は、自分の目もえぐり出される。　人の歯を折った者は、自分の歯も折られる』とあります。　 39しかし、わたしはあえて言いましょう。　暴力に暴力で手向かってはいけません。　もし右の頬をなぐられたら、左の頬も向けてやりなさい。　 40借金のかたに下着を取り上げようとする人には、上着もやりなさい。　 41荷物を一キロ先まで運べと命令されたら、二キロ先まで運んでやりなさい。　 42何か下さいと頼む人には与え、借りに来た人を手ぶらで追い返さないようにしなさい。

 

43 　『隣人を愛し、敵を憎め』とは、よく言われることです。　 44しかし、わたしは言いましょう。　敵を愛し、迫害する人のために祈りなさい。　 45それこそ、天の父の子供であるあなたがたに、ふさわしいことです。　天の父は、悪人にも善人にも太陽の光を注ぎ、正しい人にも正しくない人にもわけ隔てなく雨を降らせてくださいます。　 46自分を愛してくれる人だけを愛したからといって、取り立てて自慢できるでしょうか。　ならず者でも、そのくらいのことはしています。　 47気の合う友達とだけ親しくしたところで、ほかの人とどこが違うと言えるでしょう。　神を信じない人でも、そのくらいのことはします。　 48ですから、あなたがたは、天の父が完全であるように、完全でありなさい。(リビングバイブル訳）

 

Q. 何を発見できたの？

みんなの疑問や感想をまず聞いてみると・・・

・「敵を愛する」って難しい。

・(45)「天の父は、悪人にも善人にも太陽の光を注ぎ、正しい人にも正しくない人にもわけ隔てなく雨を降らせてくださいます。」という言葉が好き。

・(48）「完全でありなさい」ってどういうことだろう？

神様の性質がここにあると思う。奪う者に与え、敵対する人を愛するというのはまさにイエス様がしてくれたこと。

 

・敵とは誰のこと？

→実は私たちそのものが神様にとっては「敵」。心の中で誰かを悪く思ったり、神様を後回しにして自分中心になったり・・・。「罪」の性質があって不完全な私たち。

その私たちが、神様に（ある意味自分勝手に）「これがほしい」「あれをしたい」と願う願いを聞いてくれて、衣食住を与えてくれて愛してくださった。

 

Q.　どんな福音が発見できたの？

・イエス様は人が神様を無視して見向きもしないとき（まさに人が神の敵であった時に）も、人を愛し、祈りで続けられた。

・神の子、イエス様は天の父との関係を（十字架で死んだ際）失わせることによって、イエス様を信じる者を、神様の子どもと変えてくださった。

・「敵を愛する」「神様の子どもになる」「完全な者になる」それらは私では不可能だけど、イエス様が私たちの代わりにそれをすべてしてくださった。

だから、そのイエス様を信頼してイエス様とともに生きるなら、イエス様を通して私にもできる。

 

人を愛するとは＝相手を信頼すること。

これはその人に依存するのとは違うし、その人が自分を裏切らない、がっかりさせないことを信じるというのとも違う。

その相手もまた、神様の完全な愛によって愛されているから、神様がデザインされた通りに成長できるって信じる。

 

信頼することと希望を持つこと、期待することはとても似てますね。

Matthew: 5:38-43

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ 39But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

 

 

Q.What did you discover? As we discuss on this in a group....

• "Love enemies" seems so difficult...
• Some loves the verse, "5that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
• What is the meaning of "Be perfect."?

I believe that the verses show exact God's nature here that give even more for those who takes something from you and Love your enemies.

 

• Who is the enemies? We were actually the enemies of God for we all have been so sinful before God's Holiness and righteousness without Jesus and His blood. but amazingly God without asking, one-sidedly, provide clothing, food and housing and anything necessary for the bad and the righteous. 

 

Q.　What Gospel did you discover? 

• When we all were God's enemies whom we simply despised Him , Jesus loved us first and prayed for us and took all our sins and its sinful nature in us on the cross and died and was risen again. And His nature for us never ever change! 

 

• By Jesus as the Son of God who chose to be dead in the very relationship with the heavenly Father on the cross for our sins, Jesus has restored the relationship between the Father and those who believe Jesus and qualified us as a child of God!  

 

• Love your enemies, being eligible to be a child of God, and be perfect" are no matter how well we suffer and make efforts, just impossible for us to attain. but if you believe and rely on Jesus100％, by Jesus who has made all of them possible, we all make them possible by Jesus' power and grace.

 

•  Loving people is trusting them. It is neither depending on someone nor thinking, this person will never disappoint and betray me forever. but trusting someone means that believing this person will too be able to a child of God and become everything God has designed to be. Without trusting them in this way, we believe we will never be able to love our enemies.  

Trusting is very similar with hoping and expecting that the person will too be a God's imaged figure. that is why we never stop loving and trusting someone and even our enemies.
